On Saturday a few friends of mine and I went to Marsh Creek Speedway to see some kart racing.  This stuff is cool!  I'm the antithetical speed enthusiast, I seems.  Generally speaking I scoff at unnecessary consumption, and this includes riding around race tracks, or creating non-utility vehicles like race bikes and karts.  I've slowly developed an irresistable desire (though accompanied by some guilt and hesitation) to pursue hobbies involving speed.  Motorcycles it seems, are to be my gateway drug.

Marsh creek is a short track, and they were using an oval configuraiton, which I find to be pretty boring.  But overall I found the event to be really cool.  I'm planning on continuing to pursue riding motorcycles on the trak, but perhaps karts could represnt a less dangerous and more achievable means to compete.   For now I'll have to settle for sessions at Arnolds in Oaks, PA.
